Old Sturbridge Village

A must-see New England attraction, Old Sturbridge Village recreates early 19th-century rural life. Chat with and learn from costumed historians as you visit 40 historical buildings, water-powered mills, and a working farm on more than 200 acres. The village is made up of three distinct areas: Center Village, the Mill Neighborhood, and the Countryside. Several seasonal nature trails run through the property, allowing guests to further explore the banks of the Quinebaug River, the Wight family woodlot, and the pasture. Don’t miss the Cabinetmaking Shop on the Common, which brings the stories of the region’s early 19th-century cabinetmakers to Old Sturbridge Village.
